Fresh FM fire in Ibadan was quickly contained, preventing major damage to the popular radio station

Fresh FM fire broke out at the popular Ibadan radio station, Fresh FM, located in the Felele area of Ibadan South-West local government on Friday.

The incident, which started a few hours ago, temporarily disrupted activities at the station.

Tribune Online could not immediately confirm the cause or extent of the damage.

Speaking to reporters, Rev Akinyemi Akinyinka, General Manager of Oyo State Fire Services, said, “our men are on the ground.

The situation is under control.” This quick response prevented the fire from escalating into a major disaster.

Founded by acclaimed musician and broadcaster Yinka Ayefele, Fresh FM remains one of the most listened-to radio stations in Ibadan.

Fans and staff expressed relief that the situation was contained efficiently.
