The recipients emerged from over 270,000 entries submitted across the country.

Each winning student received a ₦150,000 scholarship award, designed to support educational expenses and encourage the expression of ideas.

Organisers stressed that creativity is a critical skill for problem-solving and leadership, highlighting essays that ranged from environmental inventions to imaginative technological concepts.

Balo Iwara, National BTL Lead at Kellogg’s Nigeria, emphasised the long-term vision behind the initiative.

“Investing in children ultimately means investing in the country’s future,” he said.

Over the past seven years, the company has committed ₦22.5 million to the scholarship programme, demonstrating sustained support rather than a one-off effort.

The initiative targets children aged five to 12, a formative period when recognition and encouragement can reinforce self-confidence and foster ambition.

Parents attending the ceremony described the awards as a significant relief, easing financial pressures associated with schooling.

Beyond financial support, the programme aims to cultivate analytical and solution-oriented thinking.

Organisers highlighted that early encouragement of creativity equips children with skills essential for entrepreneurship, leadership, and nation-building.

Since its inception, the programme has reviewed over 30,000 essays and celebrated numerous winners, reinforcing the message that children’s ideas are valuable and worth nurturing.
