A suspected drug addict allegedly sets his family house on fire in Lagos after a dispute, causing panic and property damage; fire officials respond

A young man, believed to be under the influence of drugs, allegedly set his family house on fire following an argument with relatives in Lagos.

A video circulating online shows family members struggling to escape the burning building as flames spread. The suspect, estimated to be between 21 and 25 years old, reportedly vandalised property, including smashing a Lexus Prado windscreen, before setting the house ablaze.

Officials from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service were called to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings.
