Abdulmajid appeared before Justice Musa Karaye on a one-count charge of criminal misappropriation involving money allegedly belonging to Fahad Adaji.

According to the charge sheet, the alleged offence occurred in Kano between September and October 2024.

The prosecution told the court that the N34.875 million was transferred to a First Bank account belonging to Muazu Abdullahi following Abdulmajid’s instructions.

The money was allegedly intended to facilitate the purchase of IRS Spaghetti from BUA.

The EFCC accused Abdulmajid of dishonestly misappropriating the funds instead of using them for the intended transaction.

The commission said the alleged offence contravened Sections 308 and 309 of the Kano State Penal Code Law.

When the charge was read to him, Abdulmajid pleaded not guilty.

Following his plea, prosecution counsel, Mustapha Maiwada, asked the court to fix a date for trial and order the defendant’s remand in a custodial facility.

Justice Karaye granted the request and ordered that Abdulmajid be held in a correctional facility pending further proceedings.

The court adjourned the case until November 2, 2026, for the commencement of the hearing.

Obodo… Following the conclusion of the investigation and the establishment of the culpability of the officers involved… the officers being paraded today have been dismissed from the Nigeria Police Force and will be charged to court,” Adepoju said.
