Prince Adeyinka Muyideen Illo was born on March 22nd, 1978, in Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria, into a family deeply rooted in royalty. His father was His Royal Majesty Oba Momodu Illo, the first Oba of Ikeja, and his mother was Olori Kadijat Illo, daughter of the late Olu of Agboyi, Oba Yisa Durosinmi. Before the demise of his parents, they instilled in him a strong sense of tradition and leadership.

Prince Adeyinka began my educational journey at Ikeja Primary School in GRA, Ikeja, before moving on to Victory College in Abule Onigbagbo and later attended Baptist Academy in Obanikoro, where he completed his secondary education. His academic pursuits took him to the Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, where He earned a Bachelor of Communication (Hons) in Corporate Communication.

Adeyinka grew up in a polygamous environment where he was raised alongside numerous brothers and sisters, some of whom have also passed on now. This upbringing taught him the values of unity, empathy, and resilience. Today, he’s a proud husband and father to a beautiful daughter. His name, Adeyinka, meaning “surrounded by crowns,” reflects his royal heritage, as both his father and maternal grandfather were kings at the time of his birth.

Being raised in a royal family, their home was always open to the sons and daughters of Ikeja. This environment nurtured his empathy and honed his traditional leadership skills, preparing him for a life of service and community engagement.

As a young adult, He pursued a career in architecture, training at Labdeco Architectural Company on Olowu Street, Ikeja, in 1993. Alongside his professional development, He dedicated himself to community service.

He, once served as the secretary to Princess Folashade Illo, the then Regent of Ikeja Land and current Iyalode of Ikeja Land. During this time, He played an active role in organizing Ikeja youth carnivals and represented His community at various political gatherings from 1999 until 2008.

In 2008, He left Nigeria to further his education abroad. While pursuing his bachelor’s degree, He founded his first company, Studylink Educational Services, which partnered with several universities and colleges in Malaysia to recruit international students. This venture marked the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey.

In 2013, he returned to Nigeria to establish a real estate development business. The following year, He launched Hilloz Lounge in Ogba, a popular social spot that quickly became a hub for community engagement.

Seeking to expand his expertise, He relocated to the United States, where he attended Colibri Real Estate School in Missouri. He was awarded a Real Estate License by the state of Georgia and he’s currently affiliated with Weichert Realtors-The Collective in Atlanta as a licensed Realtor.

However, as the Local Government Election in Lagos beckons, Prince Adeyinka stands out as the most popular and preferred aspirant in the race for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship ticket in Ikeja Local Government. His overwhelming acceptance by party members and residents gives him a significant edge over other contenders.

His reputation as a grassroots leader with a deep understanding of the needs of Ikeja’s people makes him the candidate of choice. His track record of service, accessibility, and commitment to progressive governance has endeared him to stakeholders across different political and social groups. From setting up monthly community kitchens in partnership with Food Clique Support to launching the Seyi Tinubu Empowerment Project, STEP initiative aimed at empowering millennial tech entrepreneurs in Nigeria, Seyi’s impact continues to resonate with more expansive programs designed to create long-term social and economic transformation. One of his most notable acts of kindness was the life-changing support Seyi gave to a struggling one-legged Lagos bus conductor simply called Chima. The physically-challenged gentleman received a state-of-the-art prosthetic leg worth millions of Naira —a gesture that not only restored Chima’s mobility but also his dignity.

Beyond the physical support, Seyi also ensured financial stability for Chima by offering him a position as an assistant coach on his football team with a monthly salary of Fifty Thousand Naira (₦50,000). This gesture exemplified his approach to sustainable empowerment, providing people with opportunities beyond just financial aid.

Reflecting on his journey, Chima shared his gratitude: “My life is back to normal because I can now walk with both legs, work, and earn a living. I thank God for using the Noella Foundation through Seyi Tinubu to come to my rescue. God bless them mightily.”

This act of generosity is just one of many initiatives of Seyi driven by the Noella Foundation. Even with his father in power as Nigerian leader, Seyi hasn’t faltered in his charity deeds. Through his associates, he has given out relief items to people involved in a fire disaster in Nasarawa, gifted palliatives in Abuja, and sponsored some medical outreaches.

In September last year, Seyi flew to Borno with a team of associate-sympathizers and was received by the state governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum. During that visit, Seyi donated N500 million to victims of the Maiduguri flood. A few weeks later, Seyi once again saved some underprivileged from a bad fate of financial hardship as his foundation procured prescribed medication through a drug bank that would serve over 10,000 indigent people in 60 hospitals around the country. This drug bank, Seyi said, is more than medicine but a “commitment to dignity, to equality, and to the fundamental human right to healthcare.”

Beyond financial aid and community projects, Seyi remains a role model for young Nigerians, proving that success is not just measured by personal achievements but also by the ability to uplift others. His dedication to humanitarian causes has encouraged more individuals and organizations to join in the mission of fostering positive change. Seyi, as an entrepreneur, rather than fund a lavish lifestyle, wanted to make as much as possible to do as much good as he could. United Bank for Africa(UBA) through UBA Foundation, its corporate social responsibility arm, has donated the sum of N500 million to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), as part of its continued commitment to secure environment for individuals and businesses

The N500m cheque was presented to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, by the UBA Group Chairman, Tony Elumelu, who was accompanied by the bank’s Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Muyiwa Akinyemi, at the State House, Marina, Lagos on Sunday.

Speaking during the presentation, Elumelu reiterated the bank’s dedication to supporting initiatives that ensure the safety and prosperity of communities across Nigeria adding that “At UBA, we understand that security is critical for economic growth and societal well-being. Our donation to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund is a reflection of the bank’s belief in building safer communities to enhance the quality of life for all. We are proud to partner with the Lagos State Government to achieve this shared vision of a secure environment conducive to investment and development.”

While receiving the N500m cheque, the Lagos State Governor expressed appreciation to the UBA Group and UBA Foundation for the significant contribution and commended Mr. Tony Elumelu for its unwavering commitment to impactful projects, state’s progress and well-being.

He said, “we are grateful to the UBA Group for their significant contribution to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund. This donation will strengthen our efforts to enhance security and protect our citizens. Together we are building a safer Lagos for all”
