The initiative aims to cushion the effects of rising living costs and promote grassroots welfare.

Ajadi made the announcement while consulting party stakeholders and community leaders across Oyo State.

He said the rice distribution is not a political gimmick but a continuation of his long-standing commitment to social support, inclusive engagement, and responsiveness to community needs.

“Leadership is about feeling the pulse of the people and responding to their needs, not only during elections but at all times. This rice is being distributed across all local governments to ensure fairness, inclusiveness and unity within our party and communities,” Ajadi stated.

Beneficiaries include members from PDP structures at the ward and local government levels, as well as vulnerable groups identified by community leaders.

Ajadi emphasised that transparency, equity, and accountability guide the distribution process.

The aspirant highlighted that food security, social welfare, and economic empowerment remain central to his policy agenda.

“When government works for the people, hunger reduces, hope is restored and trust in leadership grows,” he said, noting that his vision for Oyo State prioritises welfare, security, and sustainable development.

The rice distribution accompanies Ajadi’s ongoing consultations with PDP executives, ward chairmen, local government officials, traditional rulers, and youth groups, aimed at complementing Governor Seyi Makinde’s governance agenda.

Political observers say the initiative strengthens Ajadi’s grassroots presence within PDP structures across the state’s 33 local governments.

A PDP chieftain in Ibadan described the intervention as “timely and thoughtful,” reflecting a practical understanding of socio-economic challenges faced by party members and residents.

Ambassador Ajadi is a businessman, philanthropist, and seasoned political actor with deep roots in Oyo State politics. He has built a reputation for grassroots mobilisation, youth empowerment, and consistent engagement with party faithful.

As a PDP gubernatorial aspirant, he pledges to continue existing development efforts while introducing policies aimed at expanding economic opportunities, strengthening local government administration, and improving social infrastructure.

“Our strength as a party lies in unity, sincerity of purpose and our ability to present a candidate who truly understands the aspirations of the people,” Ajadi said.
