Anambra Election Will Hold In Peace, Abaribe Tells IPOB

Senate Minority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe, has said that it is in the interest of all and sundry to allow the Anambra gubernatorial election to hold next Saturday.

The former Abia State Deputy-Governor was speaking on Friday at the Housing Estate, Fegge in Onitsha, South Local Government Area of the state, during a campaign tour of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Valentine Ozigbo. Abaribe begged the electorates to vote for Ozigbo.

Crystal News recalls that the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) had threatened a lockdown in Anambra State if its leader, Nnamdi Kanu is not released by the Nigerian Federal Government next week.

“Don’t vote for RUGA people, don’t vote for those who want to rule Anambra from under or through the back door” Abaribe pleaded.

“Only PDP can rescue Nigeria and Anambra State from this bondage of insecurity, corruption and human rights abuses. PDP is the only vehicle that can take Nigeria to the desired Igbo presidency. If not PDP, is it APC which has strangled Nigeria or APGA which is not even recognized at the centre that will rescue Nigeria from its present economic and security quagmire?” Abaribe said.
