APC Tinubu achievements publicity push gains momentum as Governor Oyebanji urges party leaders to highlight federal policies and reforms at grassroots level
Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has urged the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to strengthen communication and publicity around the policies and programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The governor made the appeal while receiving newly inaugurated executives of the APC South-West zone, led by National Vice Chairman Dr Isaac Kekemeke, in Ado Ekiti.
Oyebanji said the federal government’s economic reforms, infrastructure drive, and stabilisation efforts have had a positive impact on citizens across the country, including Ekiti State.
He noted that better communication of these achievements would help deepen public understanding and appreciation of government initiatives, especially at the grassroots level.
According to him, effective messaging at ward and community levels would ensure that citizens are better informed about ongoing reforms and development projects.
The governor recalled the economic conditions before President Tinubu’s inauguration, describing the period as challenging, while noting that subsequent fiscal reforms had improved the situation for sub-national governments.
Oyebanji said federal projects in Ekiti, including road rehabilitation and rail connectivity, reflect increased federal presence in the state.
He added that party leaders must actively engage citizens with verifiable information to counter opposition narratives and strengthen public trust in government policies.
The APC South-West leadership, in response, reaffirmed its support for governors in the region and expressed confidence in the party’s growing influence ahead of future elections.
Dr Kekemeke described ongoing party efforts as part of a broader strategy to consolidate APC’s dominance in the South-West, while expressing optimism about future electoral outcomes in the region.
He also emphasised the importance of unity within the party and praised President Tinubu’s leadership and policy direction.
