APC To Set-Up Sub-Committee On Budgeting Ahead National Convention
The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has resolved to set up a sub-committee on budgeting as well as put in place relevant structures for the successful conduct of its National Convention scheduled for February.
Sen. John Akpanudoedehe, the National Secretary, APC Caretaker and Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) made this known when he addressed newsmen at the end of the committee’s closed-door meeting at the party’s national secretariat on Monday in Abuja.
He said the decision was part of resolutions reached at the meeting, which reviewed the party’s activities over the past one year and deliberated on various national and party matters.
He congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari for implementing several pro-people policies that had positively impacted the lives of Nigerians.
Akpankudohede said that the meeting passed a Vote of Confidence on the Buhari-led administration, adding that the APC would continue to engage with critical stakeholders on issues that affected the country and Nigerians generally.
“The meeting deliberated on the planned national convention and resolved to setup a sub-committee on budgeting and other relevant structures for the national convention,” he said.
The APC scribe thanked Nigerians for their continued support to the APC and the Federal Government and wished to offer his season’s greetings to them towards a peaceful celebration.
Crystal News reports that Buhari had approved February for the national convention.
A new National Working Committee (NWC) was expected to be elected at the national convention to take over from the CECPC in piloting the affairs of the party.

Governor Dauda Lawal Commends Senator Yari’s Appointment as President Tinubu’s Campaign Council DG
The Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Governor Dauda Lawal has commended the appointment of Senator Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar as the Director General of the Tinubu/Shettima 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, describing the decision as not only a good omen but also the right choice that will lead to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Governor Lawal expressed sincere gratitude to President Tinubu for appointing one of Zamfara’s own, who is a former Governor and Senator representing Zamfara West, to lead the presidential campaign, noting that the appointment is a moment of pride for the state and will undoubtedly uplift the spirits and morale of all members of the All Progressives Congress while reinforcing their commitment to the party’s vision and objectives.
Governor Lawal further stated that with Senator Yari at the helm of the presidential campaign, the party is well positioned to convince voters and advance President Tinubu’s agenda, citing Yari’s leadership experience and organizational management skills as critical assets for the task ahead. Governor Lawal also congratulated former Zamfara Governors Ahmed Sani Yarima, Mahmuda Aliyu Shinkafi and Bello Matawalle for their appointments to vital roles within the Presidential Campaign Council, emphasizing that their experiences and leadership will undoubtedly contribute to the success of the presidential campaign and further strengthen the party’s efforts as all stakeholders work towards ensuring President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
