Dapo Lam-Adesina predicts APC victory in Oyo State in 2027, citing Tinubu’s reforms and grassroots mobilisation as key factors

Lam-Adesina, who represented Ibadan North-East/South-East federal constituency between 2015 and 2019, made the declaration on Monday, citing President Bola Tinubu’s reforms as pivotal to delivering the state to the ruling party.

He observed that several states previously controlled by the opposition have shifted to the APC, stressing that Oyo cannot afford to lag behind.

“For nearly eight years, Oyo State has been in the opposition and that does not bode well for us. With the trend across the country, we cannot afford to remain in the opposition come 2027,” Lam-Adesina said.

The ex-lawmaker highlighted the APC’s recent online registration exercise, describing it as a strategic effort to mobilise voters across all 33 local government areas.

“Other states controlled by the opposition have willingly joined the APC because they understand what it means to align with power at the centre. We will make sure that Oyo returns to the progressives and aligns with the Federal Government,” he added.

Lam-Adesina also emphasised that President Tinubu’s reforms, which have increased funds to local governments, will help drive grassroots development and bolster the party’s chances.
