Arsenal injuries update: Bukayo Saka out, Martin Odegaard recovering, Jurrien Timber fit as Gunners prepare to face Sunderland this weekend
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided the latest injury updates ahead of the Premier League clash against Sunderland this weekend.
The Gunners could extend their lead at the top of the table to nine points before Manchester City face Liverpool.
Arteta confirmed that Bukayo Saka will miss the match due to a hip injury, which has also sidelined him against Leeds United and Chelsea.
“His hip is improving a lot. Hopefully, he’ll be ready soon,” Arteta said.
The manager also offered updates on captain Martin Odegaard and defender Jurrien Timber.
“Martin is getting better and will be back in a few days, and Jurrien is fit for the weekend,” he added.
Arsenal will look to maintain their strong form as they aim for maximum points against Sunderland, with Arteta hopeful that the returning players will strengthen the squad in the coming weeks.
