Gabriel Batistuta names Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, and Lautaro Martinez as best strikers, praising their consistency and goal-scoring ability

Speaking on the YouTube channel Rio Ferdinand Presents, Batistuta admitted the choice was difficult but said the three players consistently score in every match.

“Haaland surprised me because he’s always in the right position, and if you give him three balls, he will score a fourth. You see him, he looks slow, looks like not interested, and then boom,” Batistuta said.

The 57-year-old remains one of Argentina’s most prolific scorers, netting 56 goals in 78 appearances before Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi surpassed his tally in 2016.

Batistuta won his only Serie A title with Roma in the 2000-01 season and retired from professional football in 2005. His comments highlight the current crop of elite strikers who blend consistency, positioning, and finishing ability on the global stage.
