Bolaji Rilwan Raji praises President Tinubu’s leadership, governance, and reforms, highlighting ministerial successes and political progress in Nigeria
Bolaji Rilwan Raji, multi-sector entrepreneur and political insider, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for revitalising political leadership, governance, and development in Nigeria.
Raji, founder of the New Dawn for Women and Community Intervention Initiative and convener of the Game Changer Group, made the remarks during an interview with Wale Igbintade.
Raji said Nigeria’s political landscape historically prioritised regional rivalries over national development, but he praised Tinubu’s administration for fostering job creation, strengthening local governments, and implementing regional development zones.
“Local communities should learn from the prioritising President’s leadership and governance to guide the selection of future political leaders, achieving the renewed hope agenda,” he stated.
Reflecting on historical political crises, Raji discussed the annulment of the June 12, 1993, presidential election of Chief Moshood Abiola, citing internal military and political conflicts and the vital roles played by Yoruba elders, regional leaders, and progressives in validating the election.
He highlighted the contributions of NADECO, market women, and civil society in sustaining democratic aspirations during that period.
Raji also addressed perceptions of cabals within government, noting that President Tinubu has taken steps to dismantle these power blocs and ensure controlled delegation of authority.
He acknowledged the achievements of ministers, particularly in the Ministries of Marine and Blue Economy, Interior, FCT, and Works, which have seen rapid infrastructure development and streamlined services.
Regarding the forthcoming 2027 elections, Raji confirmed his ongoing support for President Tinubu, citing his efforts to integrate Southern Kaduna, secure cross-party alliances, and implement policies that stabilise the economy and reduce fuel shortages.
He described these reforms as part of a “renewed hope agenda” aimed at creating sustainable prosperity and governance for Nigeria.
Raji concluded by emphasising the importance of monitoring ministerial performance and continuing political reforms to strengthen democracy, ensure accountability, and solidify Tinubu’s legacy for future generations.
