Campus Music Spotlight has officially launched, ushering in a new era for Nigeria’s music scene.
The nationwide intercollegiate competition will transform over 40 campuses into hubs for discovering and nurturing the next generation of Afrobeats superstars.
An initiative of Playmode Music and ACADA Magazine, Campus Music Spotlight goes beyond a simple talent show. It is a national talent accelerator designed to propel young creatives from classrooms to global stages.
Through a strategic partnership with Chocolate City Music Group, contestants gain rare access to industry gatekeepers, opening a direct path to professional opportunities.
Over ₦7 million in cash prizes, brand endorsements, and a spot on the exclusive CMS Compilation Album await the most promising contestants.
The album, engineered and distributed with Chocolate City Music Group, will showcase fresh Afrobeats talent to national and international audiences.
Trace TV powers the competition as the official media partner, providing comprehensive coverage across television, digital, and social platforms.
Swypatune serves as the official technology partner, allowing artists to upload entries seamlessly while fans vote and engage in real time.
A distinguished panel of 13 industry experts, including Grammy-winning producers, label executives, A&Rs, and entertainment lawyers, will mentor participants and select standout performers.
Notable faculty include Samuel Onyemelukwe, Uncle Daps, Aibee Abidoye, Ifeyinwa Anyadiegwu, V-Tek, Tope Salami, Joey Akan, and Didi Maduforo.
