Chain Reactions Africa PR award Tinubu reforms as firm wins SABRE Africa honours for “From Reforms to Recovery” and Lagos Shopping Festival campaign

Leading Nigerian public relations consultancy Chain Reactions Africa has secured multiple accolades at the SABRE Africa Awards, earning international recognition for its work on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reform communications campaign, in a major Chain Reactions Africa PR award Tinubu reforms milestone.

The firm won in the Public Sector and Government category for its campaign titled “From Reforms to Recovery,” developed in partnership with the Presidential Media and Communications Team to mark the President’s second year in office.

The campaign was designed to simplify complex economic reform policies and present them in clear, relatable terms to the public, while also enhancing understanding among stakeholders in the financial sector.

Organisers of the SABRE Africa Awards commended the campaign’s strategic communication approach, which stood out among entries from leading global agencies, including Weber Shandwick.

Beyond the government category win, Chain Reactions Africa also secured a Gold Award in the Travel and Leisure category for its execution of the Lagos Shopping Festival campaign, further strengthening its reputation in experiential and destination branding.

The firm also emerged victorious in the Technology category for its work on the unveiling of the T2 brand for Emerging Markets Telecommunications Services Limited (EMTS), formerly known as 9mobile, competing against several international communications agencies.

The Chain Reactions Africa PR award Tinubu reforms recognition comes in one of the most competitive editions of the SABRE Africa Awards, which recorded more than 500 entries and over 120 shortlisted campaigns.

Speaking at the ceremony, PRovoke Media founder Paul Holmes praised the quality of submissions and the rigorous judging process, describing the 2026 edition as one of the strongest in the awards’ history.

Founder and Chief Strategist of Chain Reactions Africa, Israel Jaiye Opayemi, dedicated the award to President Tinubu and the Presidential Media and Communications Team, crediting their collaboration for the success of the campaign.

He also reflected on the firm’s long-term growth, noting its journey from attending the SABRE Awards as observers to becoming one of Africa’s most decorated PR agencies.

The consultancy further acknowledged the support of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the Lagos Shopping Festival, which it said has helped position Lagos as a growing hub for tourism and retail experiences.
