Gallas made the recommendation while speaking in an interview with Boyle Sport, where he assessed possible managerial options for the Premier League club following recent changes in their dugout.

The ex-France international said Simeone’s winning mentality and experience could help Chelsea secure immediate success, especially in terms of silverware.

He argued that the club requires a strong and authoritative figure capable of instilling discipline and a competitive edge within the squad.

Gallas suggested that Simeone’s leadership style would bring intensity and a “warrior mentality” that he believes Chelsea currently lack.

He also pointed to former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fàbregas as a potential long-term option, praising his early managerial progress at Italian side Como.

According to Gallas, Chelsea’s immediate focus should be stability and results, while long-term planning could involve developing younger managerial talent.

His comments come amid continued debate over Chelsea’s managerial direction and squad consistency in recent seasons.

Simeone, who has been in charge of Atletico Madrid since 2011, is widely regarded as one of Europe’s most experienced and disciplined managers, having led the Spanish side to multiple domestic and European successes.

Chelsea, meanwhile, continue to evaluate their long-term football strategy as they aim to return to consistent title contention in England and Europe.
