After receiving blessings of many top political leaders as well as those that matter in the scheme of things across Lagos Central Senatorial District, Property construction giant and Chairman of DHB Group Limited, Hakeem Alobo-Bakare has begun his journey towards 2023 senatorial race as he launched his inauguration meeting in Lagos.
The highly brainy man is no stranger in the Lagos political turf, he has been in its trenches for decades.
He was a governorship aspirant of All Progressives Congress, APC in the 2015 elections that eventually produced Akinwunmi Ambode.
However, he remained relevant in the scheme of things in the state.
As gathered his ambition is buoyed by his unprecedented contributions to the growth of his constituency that has wormed him into the hearts of the people.

For many years Alobo-Bakare has become a reference point in the nation’s Properties Construction sector. This is not a mean feat, as those close to him attribute it to his relentless efforts as well as personal strength built through struggle, tenacity, resilience, unbending determination, focus and business acumen.
The 63 years old business guru has channeled his experiences and personally touching the lives of countless others who have had to confront their own challenges.
The businessman towers above many of his contemporaries, particularly because he has been in a warm embrace of fame for many decades.
The Business Administration graduate from the University of Lagos, Akoka is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria.
Unlike many politicians with no ‘second address’, the Lagos State-born magnate is into business full time while moonlighting as a politician, albeit ready to serve.
After a stint with the Central Bank of Nigeria, the brave and courageous man took a plunge into the stormy and highly capital intensive construction industry with his company, DHB Construction Limited. Since then Alobo-Bakare has continued to make indelible marks in the field.
Like a man with Midas Touch, his construction company has grown into a conglomerate with subsidiaries that include, DHB Properties Limited, Hexagon Logistics, Temjob Limited, Eko Trans Afrik Limited among others.
A group, the Imo First Group (IFG) has described the purported Magistrate court order to arrest Senator Ifeanyi Araraume and the former governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, over alleged criminal conspiracy and forgery, as a ruse and fake news
The group stated this in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja.
IFG challenged those peddling the fake news to make the court order public.
The statement reads ” The fabricated and concocted story was first posted on social media by Hon. Ambrose Nwaogwugwu, a media aide to Governor Hope Uzodimma, before it was picked up by other media outfits, including Arise TV.
According to the statement, those behind the report claimed that a Senior Magistrate Court sitting in Abuja issued a Bench Warrant dated September 9, 2026, following a petition written by the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Imo State, Barr. Chukwuemeka Ibejiako, to the Police and DSS on October 8, 2026, over alleged presentation of fake APC primary results.
The Group debunked the existence of any such order.
“We want to state categorically and unequivocally that no jSenior Magistrate ordered or issued any bench warrant for the arrest of Araraume”
IFG however challenged anyone in possession of the purported court order to publish it.
“If you claim to have a court order present same for the public to see,
“This fabricated bench warrant contain in the report is filled with inconsistencies, the bench warrant was dated September 9, 2026, while the REC’s petition that supposedly triggered it was dated October 8, 2026, with case number CR/M/084/2026.
The statement further stated that the purveyors and harbinger of the fake news tried to trick the magistrate via exparte order but was rebuked
“The magistrate bluntly refused to grant their exparte and threatened to arrest them, yet they carried their falsehood about. What’s the problem of occupants of office that never won free and fair elections and tried to destroy reputable Imo sons that have won elections. We challenge anyone in this macabre surugede dance to show the court order or warrant of arrest. It’s preposterous to blackmail decent Imo sons on the altar of dirty politics.”
