Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois predicts his team will face Manchester City in the Champions League Round of 16, following their 3-1 aggregate win over Benfica
Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, has confidently predicted that his team will be drawn against Manchester City in the Champions League Round of 16.
Speaking to the media after Real Madrid’s 2-1 victory over Benfica, which secured a 3-1 aggregate win, Courtois said, “We all know it will be Man City on Friday at the draw. Everyone knows that.”
The victory ensures that Madrid progresses from the knockout play-offs and will face either Manchester City or Sporting Lisbon in the next round.
Courtois’ prediction comes after Madrid and City faced off in the league phase, with Pep Guardiola’s side winning 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
