Solomon Dalung says many contenders, including himself, can challenge President Bola Tinubu in 2027, citing APC strategies as well known to opponents

Former Minister of Sports and Youths Development, Solomon Dalung, has said numerous candidates could challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Dalung made the remarks while appearing on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.

He emphasised that the strategies of the All Progressives Congress, APC, are well known, and that the party faces no tactical advantage over the opposition.

“We know Tinubu too well; we know his strategies, there is nothing new about what they will do,” Dalung said.

Dalung added that he himself could decide to contest and would challenge Tinubu if the opportunity arose.

“In 2027, we have so many people to challenge Tinubu; even I can decide to contest, and I will challenge him,” he stated.

He noted that the opposition, through the African Democratic Congress, ADC, would conduct transparent primaries to determine the candidate best positioned to face the president.

“Who will challenge him will be determined by the Nigerian people through the membership of the ADC. Whosoever wins will challenge Tinubu,” Dalung said.
