The endorsement, declared during a high-level caucus meeting in Iyamho, follows a security summit with Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, and signifies a strong vote of confidence in Oshiomhole’s leadership.

The meeting, attended by prominent APC stakeholders, including Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, and former Minister of Budget and National Planning, Clement Agba, resulted in a “thunderous and unanimous chorus of approval” for Oshiomhole’s return.

The leaders declared, “No vacancy in Edo North Senate seat,” effectively closing the door to internal contention.

This endorsement is seen as a strategic move to ensure legislative continuity and sustained influence for Edo North at the national level.

Prior to the endorsement, party leaders joined Governor Okpebholo for a security summit addressing regional security concerns, outlining a roadmap for enhanced surveillance and community policing.
