Dapo Abiodun’s EFCC investigation sparks public outcry as civil society group demands full disclosure and accountability over alleged financial misconduct

EFCC investigate Dapo Abiodun which triggered a wave of public concern and condemnation from civil society after anti-graft operatives were reportedly stationed at the Governor’s Oke Mosan office to interrogate officials over alleged shady revenue handling and large‑scale misappropriation.

The Gateway Lens, a non‑political civil organization, confirmed thataround 30 EFCC agents were present to question government functionaries—a development they say underlines deep-rooted corruption in the Dapo Abiodun‑led APC administration.

The group also warned of intelligence pointing to misuse of public funds to fuel **vote‑buying schemes ahead of the Remo Federal Constituency bye‑election.

They claimed the administration is prioritizing political gain over tangible governance and public welfare.

“We strongly condemn this flagrant misuse of public resources for selfish political agenda,” the organization stated.

Gateways Lens further denounced the state government for failing in providing essential services like infrastructure, healthcare, and education.

The group appealed to the public, urging that Ogun State is not a personal enterprise.

The statement called on the EFCC to conduct the investigation professionally and impartially, urging stakeholders and citizen‑activists to support the probe.

Any official found guilty, regardless of rank, must face justice.

“The integrity of our state must not be dragged through the mud by opportunists,” they added.
