Rep Akin Rotimi Jr warns of rising kidnappings and killings in Ekiti communities, urging urgent government and security intervention
A member of the House of Representatives, Akin Rotimi Jr, has raised concerns over escalating kidnappings and killings in Ekiti State communities.
Speaking during plenary in Abuja, Rotimi said the violence has created fear among residents and disrupted farming and local economic activities.
He called for immediate action from the Federal Government and security agencies, including increased surveillance, deployment of security personnel, and better intelligence gathering.
He also urged stronger collaboration between local vigilantes, traditional rulers, and security operatives to safeguard lives and properties in vulnerable areas.
