Emefiele trial newspaper evidence court admission took place on Monday before Justice Maryanne Anenih, following submissions by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

EFCC tendered copies of several national newspapers, including Punch, This Day, Vanguard, Daily Sun and The Nation, alongside certification documents from the National Library of Nigeria.

A subpoenaed witness, Jegede Oluwasegun, an official of the National Library, presented the materials in court and confirmed their certification during cross-examination.

The defence team, led by Senior Advocate of Nigeria Olalekan Ojo, did not object to the admission of the documents, which were subsequently marked as exhibits by the court.

The trial newspaper evidence court admission forms part of a four-count charge against the former CBN governor, which includes allegations of disobedience to lawful directives and acts causing public injury.
