Ezhiba community leaders in Nasarawa State appeal to Governor Abdullahi Sule to prioritize the construction of the Ezhiba-Akpata road to boost movement and local economy
Leaders and stakeholders of the Ezhiba community have appealed to Governor Abdullahi Sule to prioritize the construction of the Ezhiba-Akpata road, citing its poor condition as a major hindrance to movement, agriculture, and economic activities.
The plea came on Monday during a courtesy visit to the Administrator of Akun Area Administrative Council, Dr. Ismaila Garba Adigizi, led by the Aren Ezhiba, Chief Danlami Umbugadu.
Speaking at the meeting, Umbugadu highlighted the hardships residents face due to the road’s deplorable state and emphasized that rehabilitation would significantly enhance livelihoods.
“This road is in a deplorable condition and our people are suffering while using it.
We are appealing to Governor Abdullahi Sule to intervene and construct the road to improve our standard of living,” he said.
Other community stakeholders, including former Speaker of Akun Development Area Hon. Lami Martina Bako, retired education director Mr. Charles Jatau Shari, and Ezhiba ECDA Chairman Mr. Umbugadu Angbashim, echoed the call for improved infrastructure and development projects.
Dr. Adigizi thanked the delegation and pledged support for initiatives aimed at promoting welfare, unity, and development in the community, urging residents to continue supporting government efforts.
