FRSC Ogun convicts 20 motorists for overloading, excessive speed, and other traffic violations in mobile court sitting at Itori unit command

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Ogun State Command has successfully convicted 20 motorists for various traffic violations during Phase II of its Mobile Court sitting at the Itori unit command.

Presided over by Chief Magistrate O.T. Odunsaya, the session documented 40 offences, with 39 attracting fines and none resulting in imprisonment.

The convicted offences included overloading, excessive speed, seatbelt violations, unlicensed driving, tyre and vehicle maintenance issues, and number plate violations.

The Sector Commander, Corps Commander Akinwunmi Fasakin, emphasized that mobile courts are key to the command’s enforcement strategy, improving visibility and ensuring compliance with traffic regulations to reduce road crashes across the state.

Fasakin also commended the orderly conduct of the session and highlighted the role of security personnel in maintaining peace during the exercise.

He urged motorists to prioritize safe driving, proper documentation, and adherence to traffic laws to prevent avoidable accidents.
