UEW, Ghana’s premier university solely focused on teacher education, is set to partner with four Nigerian universities in a bid to expand access to quality learning and foster international academic synergy.

Representatives from the university, led by UEW Consultant Professor Kolawole Raheem, will visit Nigeria from October 4 to 18.

The delegation includes Professor C.K. Assuah and Mr. Samuel Anim, who will engage in strategic discussions with authorities from Trinity University (Yaba), Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), University of Ilesa (Osun State), and Tai Solarin University of Education (Ijebu Ode, Ogun State).

During their visit, the delegates will also hold a public presentation at Oodua House in Ikeja, Lagos, to provide prospective students with direct insights into UEW’s academic offerings, digital application process, scholarships, accommodation, and fee structure.

“This is a golden opportunity for Nigerian students to interact directly with university officials, receive application support on-site, and learn more about life at UEW,” the statement noted.

The application process is fully digitised, transparent, and offers real-time tracking — an appealing feature for international applicants.

With admissions for the 2025/2026 academic year now open, UEW is promoting its wide-ranging programmes across undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD levels.

Offerings span across Political Science Education, Early Childhood Education, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Graphic Design, and many others.

UEW also boasts modern boarding facilities, a vibrant multicultural student community, and strong international student support.

Its faculties include:

  •  Science Education
  •  Social Sciences
  •  Ghanaian and Foreign Languages
  •  Health and Allied Sciences
  •  Business, Communication and Media Studies
  •  Creative Arts
  •  Education and Lifelong Learning
  • Home Economics
  • Graduate Studies, among others.
