Speaking on Saturday at the official APC campaign flag-off in Uromi, Governor Monday Okpebholo celebrated the growing momentum behind the All Progressives Congress.

He said the wave of defections from the opposition, especially the PDP, signals a political shift in the state.

“I’m calling on all opposition candidates to do the needful, join the moving train now and contribute to the development of Edo State,” Okpebholo told an energized crowd.

Flanked by APC state chairman Jarrett Tenebe, the governor welcomed notable PDP defectors including Alhaji Esiwele Musa, Abraham Osazuwa, Sunny Ejie, and Robert Okoneme representatives from all 51 wards in the senatorial district.

Not holding back, Okpebholo projected a clean sweep in the upcoming elections and a solid block of 2.5 million votes for President Tinubu’s re-election bid.

“President Tinubu’s re-election is sealed. In Edo alone, we’ve locked down the votes. This by-election is just a warm-up,” he said.
