JAMB 2026 Direct Entry registration opens March 2, allowing eligible candidates to apply directly for 200-level university programmes
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Monday, March 2, 2026, officially commenced the sale of application documents for the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) programme.
In an announcement posted on its official X account, JAMB stated that the registration process “commenced today, Monday, 2nd March 2026 and will end by Saturday, 25th April 2026.” The board emphasised that purchase of e-PINs and application documents is restricted to its accredited state and zonal offices across Nigeria.
Direct Entry allows candidates holding relevant qualifications, such as National Diploma (ND), National Certificate in Education (NCE), Interim Joint Matriculation Board certificates, A-level certificates, or other approved equivalents, to gain admission directly into the 200-level of university programmes, bypassing the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The commencement of DE registration follows the conclusion of the 2026 UTME registration exercise, which closed on February 28.
JAMB continues to urge candidates to verify their eligibility and obtain application documents only through accredited offices to avoid fraud.
