The offence occurred on January 29, when Chigozie entered the home of Tina Jonathan, the complainant, and unlawfully removed the aluminium pot.

Police prosecutor Inspector Ibrahim Gokwat confirmed the report was filed at Agada Biu Police Station.

Chigozie pleaded guilty to the charge under the Plateau Penal Code Law.

Magistrate Pati offered an alternative option of a N30,000 fine, which the convict may pay in lieu of serving the prison term.
