Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan-Waya, receives ₦31.3 million institutional fees loan from NELFUND to support 479 students for 2025/2026 session

The Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan-Waya, has received ₦31,335,500 from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) as an institutional fees loan for 479 students under the first batch of the 2025/2026 academic session.

The disbursement, confirmed by the college in a statement, was made on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

In an acknowledgment letter signed by the Acting Director, ICT, Nyalla Gajere, the college expressed gratitude to NELFUND’s Managing Director/CEO and staff for their “tireless effort” in supporting students.

The letter also thanked President Bola Tinubu for his “humanitarian and creative initiatives” and prayed for the programme’s sustainability.

This funding forms part of NELFUND’s institutional fees loan arrangement, designed to support eligible students in the current academic session. Recently, the agency also disbursed ₦392,876,550 in student loans to Delta State University, Abraka, benefitting 1,854 students.
