Kaduna Western Bypass crash deaths confirmed by FRSC after fatal collision involving truck, car and motorcycle in Kaduna State
The Federal Road Safety Corps has confirmed the death of two persons following a fatal road traffic crash along the Kaduna Western Bypass in Kaduna State.
Fatalities reported in Kaduna Western Bypass road crash deaths occurred on Sunday at about 1:45 p.m. near the Federal Eye Centre junction, involving a DAF truck, a Honda vehicle, and a motorcycle.
Sector Commander Andre Longkam of the Federal Road Safety Corps said preliminary findings indicated that the Honda vehicle collided with the motorcycle, resulting in the immediate death of the rider and a passenger.
Emergency responders, working in coordination with the police, swiftly arrived at the scene to manage traffic congestion and restore normal flow along the busy corridor.
Authorities also implemented measures to prevent secondary accidents, as the crash briefly disrupted movement along the strategic roadway.
Longkam expressed concern over the recurring nature of road incidents in the area and urged motorists to exercise heightened caution, particularly on sections of road undergoing construction or rehabilitation.
He further advised drivers to strictly adhere to traffic regulations and avoid reckless behaviour that could worsen emergency situations or lead to additional fatalities.
Investigations into the exact cause of the crash are ongoing, with the FRSC reaffirming its commitment to reducing road accidents and improving safety compliance across Kaduna State highways.
