The Other Side of Kayode Ajulo
Kayode Ajulo inspired worshippers at a Cherubim and Seraphim fellowship event in Abuja, highlighting faith, service and devotion
He is widely admired as one of the brightest legal minds of his generation, an exceptional advocate whose deep understanding of the law earned him the prestigious title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). Today, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) holds the influential office of Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Ondo State.

In both legal and political circles, Dr. Ajulo is seen as a force to be reckoned with and respected for his sharp intellect, fearless courage, and an unshakable commitment to justice.
But there’s a side of him that most people rarely get to see.
While the public encounters him in courtrooms, strategy rooms, and government corridors, Ajulo’s life is equally shaped by something quieter, deeper and undeniably spiritual.
Those who know him well often describe a man whose faith goes beyond public displays. He is not the kind of person who treats worship with casualness; rather, he is deeply devoted to the things of God, with a reverence that shows in how seriously he takes his spiritual responsibilities.
And then there’s another interesting detail: beyond the legal mind, Ajulo is also said to have a genuine love for hymn music, a softer, more reflective side that finds joy in worship, Christian fellowship, and hymn renditions. For him, faith is not a public performance; it is a life lived with devotion.
That lesser-known side of his personality was on full display last weekend when he honoured the Women Fellowship Day of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Abuja District Headquarters as Special Guest of Honour and Father of the Day.
Witnesses described the outing as touching and unforgettable. Ajulo reportedly delivered inspiring messages filled with conviction, sprinkled with soul-lifting songs that resonated strongly with the congregation.
His words moved the audience so deeply that many gave him a standing ovation, accompanied by thunderous applause.
In addition, the Ondo Attorney General further demonstrated his commitment to the work of the gospel through generous financial support for the church’s activities.
To Kayode Ajulo, life is clearly not defined by title alone, nor by legal brilliance or political influence.

Behind the formidable advocate is a man driven by faith, service, and a steady devotion to God, proving that even with a tough legal mind, his heart still beats for humanity and for the work of the Kingdom.
The contemporary art and photography exhibition “Wake Up!” is back again for a second edition.
Curated by Awele Onwordi, Wake Up! 2 exhibition pays homage to the Nigerian youth and burgeoning street culture which many of its contributing artists reference in their works.

Titled “Young, Wild, Free”, the exhibition celebrates the creativity, resilience, freedom and cultural influence found in Nigerian youth.
Taking aim at societal issues and economic concerns, the exhibit reflects the youth and their refusal to compromise or bow despite all the challenges stacked against them while charting youth culture through art, music, fashion, skateboarding, photography and community.
The exhibition will be held, once again, at the Angel and Muse Gallery at 25 Sumbo Jibowu street off Ribadu Road off Awolowo Road in Ikoyi.
It will open on Saturday 5 September 2026 and will run until 11 September 2026
This second edition which focuses on celebrating, nurturing and exploring artistic practices rooted in youth and street culture will feature works from DENCITY and SUPERGLIDER HOUSE.
Exhibiting artists include Ajilore Kehinde – their work is deeply influenced by Nigerian street culture and works of other artists like Slawn, Peters Ejiro, etc, Chuka Onwordi – graphic designer who embodies themes of death, melancholy and beauty in his works, ZIDYEP – Abuja based creative whose works move between digital and physical spaces through art, graphic design and air brushing , Franklyn Okoye – graphic designer and artist whose works explore themes of identity and hyper-reality, Awele Onwordi – founder & curator of WAKE UP and multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans character art, creative logo design, album covers and more , Oluchi Kogolo – digital illustrator whose work explores street culture, personality and storytelling through a raw and playful visual style and Kozetuo Apeji – multidisciplinary artists who work explores experimental approaches to problem solving through both digital and traditional art forms.
Commenting on the exhibition in her curatorial statement, Awele noted that “despite economic instability, limited opportunities and socio-political challenges, Nigerian youth continue to shape culture through music, fashion, art, skateboarding, raves, photography and community.”

Continuing and harping on the raison d’etre of the exhibition she said, “Young, Wild and Free exists to celebrate Nigerian youth while also creating a platform that supports and amplifies them.”
