Kwara United technical adviser Ashifat Suleiman has expressed disappointment following his team’s 2-0 defeat to Bendel Insurance at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Saturday.

Akpan Emmanuel and Kayode Oke scored for Bendel Insurance, handing Kwara United a setback in their campaign.

“We came here to pick at least a point, but it is disappointing that we lost,” Suleiman said in a chat with the club’s media team.

He added that the team is determined to recover in the second round, with the reverse fixture scheduled to take place in Ilorin in January.

“We will go again in the second round and surely make up for the lost points,” he said.
