The product, now available across all Fouani showrooms nationwide, is designed to create healthier, drier, and more comfortable indoor environments while protecting furniture, fabrics, and air quality.

Joonkyu Song, General Manager of Eco Solutions at LG Nigeria, said the appliance reflects the company’s understanding of lifestyle needs.

“The LG Smart Dehumidifier improves comfort, protects homes, supports healthier living, and delivers energy-efficient performance suited for our environment,” he noted.

The Smart Dehumidifier operates quietly at 33 decibels and comes in two models: 34-litre (DD20GMWE1) and 28-litre (MD16GQWE0).

Both feature dual inverter compressor technology to optimise energy use and humidity control.

With LG ThinQ technology, users can monitor and control the device remotely via smartphones, schedule operations, track energy usage, and receive alerts when the water tank is full.

Accessories like the Shoe Dry Y-hose and Closet Dry T-hose allow targeted drying for wardrobes and shoes.

Mohamed Hobballah, Showroom Branch Manager at Colours by Fouani Nigeria Limited, highlighted growing consumer demand for indoor wellness products.

“The LG Smart Dehumidifier answers the need for better air quality, comfort, and health within homes and offices,” he said.

The appliance removes up to 30 litres of moisture per day and includes a HEPA H13-graded Safe Plus Filter to reduce dust, allergens, bacteria, and airborne particles.

Dr Eniola Oni, health practitioner and food safety expert from the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, praised the launch, noting its importance for controlling mould and mildew that trigger respiratory issues and allergies.
