Former Real Madrid star James Rodriguez has thrown his support behind Bayern Munich winger Luis Diaz, suggesting the Colombian forward has the quality to win the Ballon d’Or this year if his national team reaches the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The comments were made as Rodriguez praised his international teammate, describing him as one of the top five players in world football based on current form and influence.
