The President of Atlanta Chapter , Georgia State,USA, Mr. Jude Oraegbu, expressed satisfaction in ensuring the children’s joy, reaffirming that society remains a place of hope for them and that more of such initiatives are still to come as part of the association’s usual practice.Love fest brings pediatric hunger problems to the front burner and thus fires off our advocacy components.

Project Coordinator Emmanuel Okogbe called on well-meaning Nigerians and organizations to support similar projects, ensuring that vulnerable children receive the care and attention they deserve, ultimately fostering a greater sense of belonging in society.

The security arrangements, which were overseen by Mr. Samod Akindele, were of the highest standard.

The NAS Street Child Project has been operational since its inception and has consistently provided support to those in need. Unfortunately, a significant number of children in Nigeria are orphans, underprivileged, abused, abandoned, and struggling to survive. These vulnerable children are often exposed to criminal gangs on the streets, particularly in Atan, Ogun State.

The NAS Street Child Project has made notable strides in collaboration with esteemed organizations such as UNESCO and UNDFP. Notably, a Toyota Hiace Bus was generously donated to support their cause in Ikorodu, Lagos. Furthermore, their Life bikers embarked on an impressive 4,000km journey across Europe, from London to Rome and back to London, raising an impressive sum of ₦1,000,000.00.

The Pyrates Confraternity has a rich history of advocating for human rights and social justice, dating back to its founding in 1952 by seven students at the University College, Ibadan, including the distinguished Professor Wole Soyinka.

Businesswoman Aisha Achimugu’s Teary Face

Published

on

By

In the thinking of some people, Aisha Achimugu is no more but a socialite and an entrepreneur to boot.

Those who see her in this light may not be totally wrong, especially if you consider her success story in the business world.

It is a fact that she is endowed with the proverbial Midas touch, as all she has ventured into has thrived so well, with enviable awards to show for it.

But one other side of her that has always been underreported is the fact that the GMD/ CEO of Felak Concept Group has a rare sense of fellow-feeling. And, indeed, every pore of her body oozes humanity.

Perhaps, this explains why she founded Sam Empowerment Foundation to give succor to the needy; wipe the tears on the faces of suffering lots around her and provide a soothing balm to those whose bodies and souls harbour pains.

For her, service to humanity seems to be a covenant she has entered into with her Creator.

She is bouyed by Anatole France’s words: ” Without genuine love towards humanity, there is no love for motherland. ”

Besides, as a bibliophile, she has read a volume of memoirs of great individuals in history, who lived exemplary lifestyles.

In her  peregrinations, she has encountered many whose lives have impacted humanity greatly, albeit quietly.

Perhaps, this explains why she has been very supportive of the hoi polloi in the society; she gives without making a noise about it.

Last week, the Kogi State-born beauty went emotional, with a teary face, as she appealed to the some fire-spitting individuals baying for blood in Benue State, through her Instagram page.

Visibly pained at heart, she waxed poetic, saying, “ Benue is bleeding, and my heart is shattered.
“My soul mourns with every family. I stand with every mother, father, and child whose world has been turned upside down.

“Countless human lives, men, women, children wiped out in a wave of unspeakable violence. As a daughter of Benue, I am devastated.

“What we face is not just a tragedy but a humanitarian disaster. Homes have been shattered, Families destroyed. A land once rich with culture and peace, the food basket of the nation is now echoing with grief.”

Continuing, she wrote “ I call on our leaders to act, not with words, but with decisive action. The people of Benue need protection, accountability, and justice.

“Enough blood has been shed. Enough!

“Let Yelwata breathe! Let Benue Live
Rest in power, sons and daughters of Benue.”

Interestingly, the post has further engraved her in the hearts of her far-flung fans who see her as an angel of hope.
