The suspect, Samuel Ikkena, 44, was arrested by Yelahanka police during a coordinated anti-narcotics operation in Karnataka State.

Authorities said he allegedly operated a drug distribution ring disguised as a clothing business.

Police reports stated that Ikkena arrived in India in 2012 on a business visa and initially traded garments in Delhi and Mumbai before relocating to Bengaluru in 2025.

Investigators claimed he procured MDMA near Bannerghatta and redistributed it through a structured illegal network.

MDMA, also known as ecstasy, is a psychoactive substance commonly sold illegally for recreational use.

Police recovered about 2 kg of MDMA crystals, along with cannabis, heroin, and equipment used for distribution.

Officials also linked the suspect to wider trafficking activities involving multiple local and foreign collaborators.

The operation led to at least 11 arrests across different locations in Bengaluru, including other alleged suppliers.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing under India’s Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act as they work to identify higher-level cartel leaders.
