Nigerian governors Eid al-Fitr messages encourage peace, charity, unity, and spiritual reflection among Muslims across Nigeria

The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across the state on the successful completion of Ramadan. The statement was issued in Abeokuta on Thursday.

Abiodun described Ramadan as a sacred period marked by deep reflection, devotion, self-discipline, and renewed commitment to the service of Almighty Allah and humanity.

He commended Muslims for their steadfastness throughout the 30-day fast and highlighted acts of charity, compassion, and support for the less privileged.

“As our Muslim brothers and sisters celebrate Eid al-Fitr, we join them in gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting the grace to witness the end of this blessed month,” Abiodun said.

He urged the faithful to continue upholding virtues of patience, generosity, humility, and righteousness beyond the fasting period.

The governor also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, social welfare, and development for all residents, irrespective of religion, concluding with prayers for continued peace, prosperity, and divine blessings.

Similarly, the Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, felicitated with Muslim faithful, encouraging them to sustain values of peace, love, and unity.

Mutfwang acknowledged the contributions of Muslims in promoting peaceful coexistence and urged prayers for national leaders.

He also reminded Hajj pilgrims sponsored by the state to represent Plateau positively and pray for the nation’s progress.

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, congratulated Muslims across Nigeria on their devotion, discipline, and spiritual renewal during Ramadan.

Fayemi described Eid al-Fitr as a time to reinforce compassion, sacrifice, humility, and love for humanity.

He encouraged all Nigerians to reflect on the lessons of the season and promote unity, tolerance, and charity beyond the festive period.
