Nigerian troops of the Forward Operating Base Chabbal intercepted a vehicle carrying suspected ISWAP logistics along the Maiduguri–Gubio supply route, seizing weapons, and other materials.

Troops from the Forward Operating Base Chabbal intercepted a vehicle suspected of transporting logistics for the Islamic State West Africa Province during a routine checkpoint on the Maiduguri–Gubio main supply route.

According to Zagazola Makama, the search revealed large textile fabrics, 20 Hilux tyre tubes, motorcycle spare parts, 10 cutlasses, and three mobile phones, all concealed under planks.

The tyres are suspected to have been linked to ISWAP operations.

Three male occupants of the vehicle were detained and handed over to the 7 Mechanised Infantry Brigade for further investigation and intelligence gathering.

Makama emphasized that this seizure is part of ongoing efforts by the Nigerian military to disrupt ISWAP’s supply networks and curb terrorist activity across the North East region.
