NIMC introduces Pre-Enrolment Portal for faster, secure NIN registration, enabling online submission of details and appointment scheduling before biometric capture

The announcement was made on Friday via NIMC’s X handle. Dr. Kayode Adegoke, Head of Corporate Communication at NIMC, said the portal aims to reduce waiting times at enrolment centres, improve data accuracy, and ensure a smoother registration experience for all citizens.

Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, NIMC’s Director-General and Chief Executive Officer, explained that the platform enables prospective applicants, both within Nigeria and abroad, to complete a significant portion of their registration online before visiting centres for biometric capture.

Key features of the Pre-Enrolment Portal include online capture and management of NIN biodata, appointment scheduling to minimise delays, secure document upload, and direct data entry by applicants to enhance accuracy.

The platform also ensures confidential handling of user information and improves operational efficiency.

The initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritises digital transformation, efficient public services, and inclusive national development.

NIMC encouraged all prospective NIN applicants to take advantage of the portal, describing it as a faster, more convenient pathway to registration.
