First Lady Oluremi Tinubu donates 50 CNG buses and 30 tricycles to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, easing transportation challenges for students and staff

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady of Nigeria, has donated 50 compressed natural gas (CNG) buses and 30 tricycles to Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, to address campus transportation challenges.

The donation, unveiled at OAU’s sports arena, was attended by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Osun State First Lady Titilayo Adeleke, and other dignitaries.

OAU Vice-Chancellor Professor Simeon Bamire praised the First Lady, saying the vehicles would significantly ease mobility for students, staff, and university visitors.

Students also commended the gesture, noting it would improve the quality of campus life.

This initiative complements Senator Tinubu’s previous interventions at OAU, including campus beautification projects and the renovation of the university’s Amphitheatre.
