Osimhen disclosed the move during a livestream with content creator Carter Efe, describing it as part of a long-term strategy beyond his playing career.

The 27-year-old forward confirmed that his primary target is Istanbulspor, a historic side currently competing in the Turkish second division. “I plan to buy Istanbulspor,” Osimhen said, emphasising his desire to give back to the sport.

He also outlined plans for a dual-club structure, which would include establishing or acquiring a club in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

The Nigerian side would serve as a development hub, creating a pathway for young talents to progress from grassroots football to Europe.

The proposed model aligns with the growing trend of multi-club ownership among elite footballers, aimed at talent development and strategic player movement across leagues.

Osimhen’s ambition is backed by strong financial capacity following his reported €75 million transfer and his status among the highest-paid players globally.

He is also known for investments in real estate across Nigeria and abroad.

Analysts say acquiring a second-division club in Turkey could offer a strategic entry into European football management, providing opportunities for player development, transfers, and continental exposure.

The move highlights Osimhen’s intent to leave a lasting legacy beyond the pitch, with a focus on nurturing the next generation of African football talent.
