Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has expressed gratitude for surviving a helicopter crash in Kabba, Kogi State, seven years ago.

The ex-VP posted on his official Instagram on Monday, giving thanks to God for protecting him and all passengers during the 2019 crash.

“You have been faithful. More than just faithful… Till this very hour. And I know You will… Till the very end,” Osinbajo wrote, adding praises in Yoruba and English.

He recalled the incident, noting, “7 years ago, You carried every one of us out of that helicopter crash without a single scrape. Not one life lost. Not one wound left behind. Only mercy. Only grace.”

Osinbajo concluded his message with thanksgiving: “Lord, we are deeply grateful. We give You all the glory, all the honor, and all the adoration. NAGODE!!!”

In a similar post, his wife, Dolapo Osinbajo, thanked God for His protection, writing, “Remembering the helicopter crash of 2nd February 2019. I give praise and thanks to God for His great deliverance. Psalm 104:1b. O Lord my God, You are very great!!”

The helicopter incident occurred on 2 February 2019, with no injuries reported.

It marked the second air mishap the former Vice President survived within seven months, highlighting what he describes as divine protection throughout his public service.
