RevolutionPlus Chairman, Dr. Bamidele Onalaja

The Lagos High Court sitting at  Osborne, Ikoyi, on Monday, February 12, 2024, granted the application of property giant, Revolutionplus, to restrain Mr Kayode Oladipo from making any further videos on all the social media platforms and any other news platform to damage the character of the 1st applicant, RevolutionPlus, and the 2nd applicant, Dr Bamidele Onalaja.

In the motion filed, the applicants have also gone ahead to sue Mr Kayode Oladipo for slander, same which is followed by aggravated damages.

In a statement, copy of which was sent to The Post, RevolutionPlus said it had initially decided to let sleeping dogs lie when the Lagos state Government, through one of its agencies, LASRERA, in a bid to resolve the matter prevailed on parties to settle amicably.

The number one property company in the country, RevolutionPlus, in reverence to the Lagos state Government,  acquiesced to allocate Kayode. This was followed by Kayode’s promise before the Lagos state Government officials to do a video retracting his false allegations of fraud against the company.

“Despite the fact that Kayode reneged on his promise to do a retraction and rather went on in this folly, RevolutionPlus fulfilled it’s own obligations and allocated Kayode to alternative estate as promised. But surprisingly, Mr Kayode turned around again with unfounded excuses and reason of rejecting the land,” the property company said.

According to RevolutionPlus, “It is more disheartening to state that Kayode who blatantly told a lie of paying N40million, whereas he was owing the company, has up till now refused to tell the truth to the unsuspecting social media audience.

“RevolutionPlus has decided to get justice and damages by slamming a suit on him and the matter has been further adjourned for the determination of the main suit.

” RevolutionPlus appreciates all its loyal subscribers for their support and encouragement thus far and vows to forge ahead in satisfying it’s customers.

‎Okpella Crisis: Ukhomuyio Concerned Citizens Reject ‘Rotational Monarchy’, Laud DSS and Edo Governor

A socio-cultural group, Ukhomuyio Concerned Citizens, has faulted what it described as attempts to use “social media propaganda” to legitimise an allegedly flawed traditional process in Okpella, Edo State, insisting that actions taken against established customs cannot be corrected through public relations efforts.

‎In a statement issued on Saturday, the group said recent political developments involving individuals accused of undermining Okpella’s traditional institutions reflect what it described as ancestral disapproval of actions taken against long-standing customs.

‎The group expressed sympathy with families affected by insecurity in Okpella, recently disengaged workers of BUA Cement, displaced indigenous contractors, and kindreds whose lands and properties were allegedly forcefully acquired and sold. It also lamented the situation of local youths and residents who, according to the statement, are witnessing what it termed the transformation of Okpella’s traditional system into a “rotational monarchy.”

‎Ukhomuyio Concerned Citizens assured affected individuals and groups of its continued support, stating that efforts are ongoing to restore and protect Okpella’s cultural heritage.

‎“We want to assure all victims of these developments that they are not alone. The struggle to preserve our tradition is ongoing, and in no distant time, Okpella shall rejoice again,” the group stated.

‎The organisation specifically commended the Department of State Services (DSS) for what it described as a constructive engagement with Mike Sado, expressing optimism over future interactions. It also acknowledged the solidarity shown by prominent sons and daughters of Okpella, as well as the resilience of elders and youths who, it said, have endured intimidation and persecution in defence of tradition.

‎In the same statement, the group praised Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for what it described as visionary and pragmatic governance under the SHINE agenda. It highlighted initiatives such as the Edo Air project, efforts to curb kidnapping, infrastructure development, emphasis on education and employment, and the regular payment of salaries.

‎Ukhomuyio Concerned Citizens concluded by offering prayers for continued wisdom and guidance for the governor, expressing confidence that his administration would further advance development and stability in Edo State.
