Michael Ekerin takes charge as the third District Representative of Rotaract District 9112, pledging responsible leadership and stronger community service
Rotaractor Michael O. Ekerin was formally installed as the third District Representative of Rotaract District 9112 on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at OGRA Hall, Ogudu GRA, Lagos, marking a significant leadership transition for the district and placing service, responsible leadership and community impact at the centre of the new administration.
The Grandeur Legacy Investiture brought together Rotaractors, Rotarians, past district representatives and other members of the Rotary family to witness Ekerin assume responsibility for leading the district.
The ceremony was not simply an investiture. It also served as a moment of reflection on the work of previous administrations and an opportunity to set expectations for the leadership ahead.
In his acceptance remarks, Ekerin was encouraged to listen carefully to the people he would serve and remain conscious of the responsibility attached to leadership.

Among those identified in the programme were Rotarian Charles of Ikoyi, the District Representative-Elect, and Rotarian Nike Mayaki, a Past Assistant Governor who also served as chief launcher.

Goodwill messages followed from other District Representatives, who expressed confidence in the incoming administration and encouraged Ekerin to build on the achievements of those who served before him.

A video presentation provided another reflective moment, highlighting past leaders and their contributions to the organisation through what was described as the Rotary Hall of Fame.
