Sanwo-Olu celebrates wife Dr Ibijoke on her 59th birthday, lauding her support for family and contributions to Lagos State development

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has celebrated his wife, Dr Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, on her 59th birthday, describing her as a courageous, kind-hearted and unwavering pillar of support.

The announcement was made on Wednesday by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile.

Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, a medical doctor and the Chairman of the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO), has been a partner in the delivery of the state’s THEMES+ development agenda.

Governor Sanwo-Olu praised her commitment as a prayer warrior, loving wife, mother and a dependable partner in both family and public life.

“On behalf of the government and the people of Lagos State, I celebrate my darling and loving wife, trusted and reliable partner, prayer warrior and the First Lady of Lagos, Dr Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, on her 59th birthday,” Governor Sanwo-Olu said.

He described Dr Ibijoke as a God-fearing woman, a compassionate companion, and a passionate Christian and lover of children, who has used her office to support the Governor in ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach millions of Lagos residents.

The Governor also acknowledged her contributions to the medical profession and to humanity, emphasising her sacrifices and dedication both at home and in public service.

“I thank God for her life and appreciate her for all the support, time, sacrifice and contributions to the growth and development of Lagos State. I wish Ibijoke good health and more fruitful, prosperous and impactful years ahead,” he added.

Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu has been married to Governor Sanwo-Olu for over two decades, with her influence extending across the state through her charitable initiatives and leadership of COWLSO.
