Led by Senator Otunba Engr. Gbenga Daniel, the Senate Committee on Navy toured several naval formations from July 23 to 25, 2025.

A key highlight was the committee’s visit to the Nigerian Navy Secondary School and Naval Medical Centre in Borokiri—facilities that provide essential education and healthcare services to both naval families and surrounding civilians.

Senator Daniel commended these institutions for strengthening civil-military relations, citing initiatives like the 2025 Navy Week’s free medical rhapsodies, which reached over 1,500 community members.

The oversight continued at the Naval Medical Centre within NNBTS Onne, further reinforcing the Navy’s dedication to welfare services for both personnel and local populations.
