Stanbic IBTC art installation debuts at ART X Lagos, promoting culture, knowledge and community through an inspiring interactive space.
Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, a subsidiary of Stanbic IBTC Holdings, on Friday in Lagos announced its sponsorship of The Library, an inspiring art installation showcased at the 10th edition of ART X Lagos.

The organisation said the initiative, which aligns with the focus on creativity and cultural preservation, reflects the theme of the 2025 fair titled Imagining Otherwise, No Matter the Tide.
The theme invites audiences to consider how imagination can strengthen urban futures and deepen community connection.
ART X Lagos has become a key platform for contemporary African artistic expression, drawing local and international audiences each year.
Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers expanded its role this year through The Library, an interactive installation conceived as a contemplative space for shared learning.
The work draws inspiration from the resilience of Nigeria’s mangrove ecosystems, symbolising stability, growth and continuity.
Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, Olumide Oyetan, said the fair’s theme mirrors the resilience found across Nigerian communities.
He explained that imagination is vital not only to artistic creation but also to long-term planning, financial confidence and the pursuit of sustainable futures.
Oyetan described The Library as a place designed for calm reflection, learning and inspiration.
He stressed the importance of nurturing young minds to appreciate art and to imagine futures anchored in cultural pride and purposeful growth.
He also praised African artists for their creativity and innovation, saying that their work demonstrates the continent’s vast potential for positive change.
The 2025 edition of ART X Lagos featured its signature Kids Tour, with students from Lisabi Grammar School in Abeokuta, Mile High International School in Ikotun and Roy Dek Academy in Makoko taking part.
Since ART X Lagos debuted in 2016, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers’ contributions have evolved into a deeper collaboration aimed at strengthening artistic expression and amplifying African perspectives.
Alongside The Library, the organisation hosted a private viewing for high-net-worth clients to engage more intimately with standout artworks and discuss legacy, creativity and the evolving significance of African art.
