Super Eagles Jordan friendly sees Éric Chelle rotate squad, with debut chances for new players as Nigeria face Jordan in Turkey

Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle is set to make several changes to his starting lineup as Nigeria prepare to face Jordan in an international friendly scheduled for Tuesday evening at the Corendon Airlines Park in Antalya.

Following a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Iran’s Team Melli last Friday, Chelle is expected to rotate his squad and provide opportunities for fringe players in the Super Eagles Jordan friendly.

The adjustment comes amid injury concerns and player withdrawals that have affected team selection.

Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho is in line to start in place of Maduka Okoye, who has been ruled out due to injury. In defence, Semi Ajayi and Bruno Onyemaechi are unavailable, with both players having left camp for personal reasons.

Their absence opens the door for Emmanuel Fernandez to make an appearance, while Zaidu Sanusi is expected to slot in at left-back.

The anticipated changes reflect Chelle’s intent to assess squad depth while maintaining competitive balance. Several new invitees, including Philip Otele and Yira Collins Sor, are also expected to make their debuts, offering them an opportunity to impress at international level.

The Super Eagles approach the fixture as part of their broader preparations, with the coaching staff keen to evaluate combinations and build cohesion across the squad.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 6.30pm Nigerian time and will serve as a platform for both established and emerging players to stake their claims.

As attention turns to the encounter, the focus will be on how the reshuffled side adapts to Chelle’s tactical demands and whether the new faces can make a strong impression in what is expected to be a competitive outing.
