President Bola Tinubu has appointed Alhaji Ibrahim Masari as Special Adviser on Political Affairs, elevating him from his previous role as Senior Special Assistant
President Bola Tinubu has elevated Alhaji Ibrahim Masari to the position of Special Adviser on Political Affairs.
According to a statement from Presidential Spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, Masari, a Katsina-born politician, previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Political Affairs since 2023.
He had earlier held the role of Welfare Secretary in the All Progressives Congress (APC) during former party chairman Adams Oshiomhole’s tenure.
Masari was also previously considered as a placeholder candidate for Vice President in the 2023 election before APC settled on former Borno governor, Kashim Shettima, as Tinubu’s running mate.
As Special Adviser, Masari will now work alongside Alhaji Yau Darazo, who was appointed by the President in July 2023, to provide strategic political guidance to the administration.
This appointment underscores Tinubu’s ongoing efforts to strengthen his political advisory team with experienced party stalwarts.
